An industry collaborative which exists to enhance Summerside, Prince Edward Island as a four
season visitor destination for the benefit of its members and the community.

The volunteer-driven Board of Directors works on behalf of the membership to pursue product
development, marketing and industry education opportunities for Summerside. Acting as the
destination marketing organization for this region, the Board and membership strive to achieve
the following goals and objectives.

Continue to spearhead the multi-million waterfront development project and other
developments.

To build communication links enabling the sharing of information among the membership.

To lobby all levels of government to advance the interests of members.

To pool member resources to market Summerside as a tourism destination.

                                                         AWARENESS
To create or widen interest in and awareness of Summerside tourism.


                                 Sustainable Tourism Initiative

Tourism Summerside has been making great strides in product development and marketing.  
Members have the opportunity to become a part of the excitement and capitalize on the
opportunities for their tourism businesses.
With the creation of the Summerside Sustainable Tourism Initiative (SSTI), a sub-committee of
Tourism Summerside and an integrated marketing approach, the future of tourism in
Summerside is bright. Tourism Summerside, through SSTI, is taking a leadership role in the
multi-million waterfront development project.

To establish, maintain and promote Summerside as a place that provides safe, unique,
integrated natural and  cultural experiences related to our maritime coastal community -
delivered in an economically, environmentally and socially sustainable manner.
